Allen Gumiran
Allen Casey Severino Gumiran is currently a Graduate Student at the University of the Philippines-Diliman, taking up Master of Arts in Philippine Studies in one of its component colleges, the Asian Center. He is also currently a contributing writer in Esquire Philippines, publishing articles dealing with obscure episodes in Philippine history with occasional social commentary often with a contrarian bent. His other essays have appeared in newspaper publications like Heraldo Filipino and Rappler. His main interests revolve around the issues of historiography, socio-political philosophy, cultural implications of technology, foreign affairs and the history of mentalities. On his free time, he listens to alternative music, reads literature of his interest and plays video games
